Neuharth’s Legacy, Cabernet Sauv Blend 2007 - 44.99
A blend of 76% Cabernet Sauvignon, 12% Syrah and 12% Cabernet Franc.  Nose of pralines, strawberry, coffee, deftly balanced, rich and savory with currant, fresh earth, mineral and wild berry flavor.  Really complex. Definitely a Washington Cabernet. Tastes like ''I want another one".  Drink now through 2015.  About the Label: I was pressing the Cabernet Sauvignon when the wine dripped down the drum taking on the look of a grape cluster as it was turning. I took a picture; wanting the image to go on a future label. Was it a sign? Yes! Winemaker, Benoit Murat said “I knew as soon as the wine went in the barrel that Champoux Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon and Boushey Vineyard Syrah and Cabernet Franc were the best in the cellar”.  Appropriately named, Neuharth’s Legacy, this wine is a tribute to our founder, Gene Neuharth, and commemorates our 30th anniversary, 1979-2009. The first winery on the Peninsula and the 15th in Washington, we at Olympic Cellars have a lot to be grateful for and a long heritage to celebrate. View Label
