Join us for 4 days of celebration

Friday, June 18th is National Flip Flop Day and it’s celebrated at Olympic Cellars.

Flip flops and a winery?… maybe not the most natural connection but to the Working Girls it signifies something pretty special… summer, warmth and sunshine! We shout…Down with fleece!!!

Add to that Father’s Day on June 20 and Summer Solstice on June 21 and we have a triple reason to celebrate.

Just flip flop on in to Olympic Cellars June 18 through 21 and the wine tasting is on us.

  • Bring Dad to the winery “in flip flops”, and he get’s a special gift.

  • Plus add in the perfect wine for Dad’s BBQ best and summer has begun.

  • Flip-Flop Wine Special Discounts All Weekend

  • "Rosie" Sangria that is truly summer sunshine in a glass, perfect with those summer tunes playing out on our patio.

Imagine thousands of people (or maybe just Olympic Cellars’ customer list) flip-flopping away on Saturday. The thought just makes you smile.  The impetus behind this brainchild? Flip-Flops, those fun, colorful, rubber sandals, are in my mind synonymous with summer.

“Now, we’re talking true flip-flops, not Birkenstocks or any type of open-toed shoe that entices people in the Northwest to wear socks.  Though the Pacific Northwest introduced the concept of ‘socks and sandals,’ our philosophy is that if enough people wear real flip-flops on National Flip-Flop Day, the sun just has to follow!”!

On a more serious note, we all know that many Americans are suffering in this slow economy, and that there is a lot of “bad stuff” happening in our world over which we have no control.

We all help where we can but uncertainty can leave you anxious when thinking about the future. Wearing Flip-Flops for one day is not going to solve the issues facing our world and I’m not trying to make light of them. But, we all have the power to make a difference within our own sphere of influence.

So take the time to reach out to those dearest to you… celebrate life and National Flip-Flop Day! As we like to say at the winery... savor the moment and cherish the memories.
