Renaissance - Three Workshops for Can-Do Women and a Free Classic Swedish Massage.

Renaissance offers workshops in some of the most do-able, research-based fitness programs available. For the month of February, Renaissance joins with others to increase the number of women who incorporate heart-healthy fitness activities into their daily lives, then celebrates with a treat for the heart: Classic Swedish massage! 

Join the Renaissance staff for three healthy-heart workshops and receive a free massage. Take it up a notch with a friend and green tea!

Walking Workshop

This infinitely doable exercise is proving to be the perfect exercise for heart, lungs, and soul. Join us for a short workshop on some of the basics of walking (gear, how to safely increase mileage, making it interesting, and what makes walking so fantastic for your body and soul) and receive a workout journal to track your progress, set goals, and get started on a healthy-heart lifestyle that your entire body will love. This workshop is offered on Wednesday, February 3rd at 9:30 am and Saturday February 6th at 9:30 am. It costs $15.00.

Strong to the Core

Join us for this popular class designed to strengthen and improve the flexibility of the core muscles and improve posture--a MUST for healthy, pain-free walking. This workshop will demonstrate and allow you to practice the exercise routine in Peggy Brill's popular book The Core. Learn why these exercises enhance your cardiovascular workout, how to do them safely and correctly, and take your heart healthy lifestyle to a higher level. The Strong to the Core Workshop costs $55.00 and includes The Core, by Peggy Brill. This two and a half hour workshop is offered on Wednesday February 17th at 9:30 am and Saturday, February 20th at 9:30 am.

Strong Woman

Add this modest strength-training program to your exercise routine and you've created the perfect three-legged stool of fitness for your healthy lifestyle. The Strong Woman Program, designed to build bone-density--unfortunately just about the only health benefit that walking doesn't provide--can also strengthen your stride, improve your posture, decrease and forestall arthritis, and support your walking routine in many other ways. This two and a half hour workshop costs $35.00 and is offered on February 24th at 9:30 am and on Saturday February 27th at 9:30 am.
