The winery is owned and operated by three female entrepreneurs, affectionately known to locals as the Olympic Women in Wine. Our winemaker, Benoit Murat, is a native of Toulouse, France. Benoit crafts limited quantities of Olympic Cellars’ award-winning wines in a unique style that blends the best of French and American winemaking techniques.

Our premium La Dolce Vida line features five varietals that are intended to be shared with friends and family in celebration of “the good life.”

Our second label, the highly acclaimed Working Girl® series of everyday wines (Working Girl White, Go Girl Red, and Rosé the Riveter and Handyman Red), was created in support of women and underwrites Olympic Cellars’ two signature philanthropic giving programs, Charity of Choice and 2X Success.  For more info visit: workinggirlwines.com

Our heritage Dungeness wines were originally released in the late 1970s by Gene Neuharth, the winery’s founder, and remain a local favorite.

Olympic Cellars is a fun, friendly boutique winery located in a century-old barn in the North Olympic Peninsula town of Port Angeles. Our doors are open to all, and we encourage you to take some time away from your busy schedule, gather with friends and enjoy our handcrafted wines year ‘round.

Our wines appeal to a range of palates, so visit us and discover your favorites. There’s never a right or wrong choice – wine is a personal experience that’s all about what you like.

Cheers!

Winter 2008 New Releases

2004 Cabernet Franc
Outstanding!
Kathy Charlton owns what she calls "Washington's Working Girl boutique winery." So here's a Cab Franc that's a chocolate lover's dream, starting with aromas of rasberry-drizzled chocolate cake, slate, minerality, blackberries and toasted oak.  It's very rich, bold and provocative in the mouth too.  Blackberries, fudge and rich Belgian chocolate seem to hang on all night long.

2006 Rose' the Riveter
Outstanding!

Bordeaux-born winemaker Benoit Murat arrived at Olympic Cellars in 2004, but he obviously knows his way around famed Champoux Vineyard and the rows of Lemberger there.  Aromas of strawberry, nectarine and rose petal jump right in step with the same flavors, framed by pleasing lemon/lime acidity.  He struck a fine balance as nice tartness is equal to the bit of residual sugar (1.65%) Enjoy with a cheese plate.

Olympic Cellars has no connection to, affiliation with or endorsement by the U.S. Olympic Committee, the U.S. Olympic Team or the Olympic Movement.
